Gerald W. Farmer, 60, of the 1000 block of South Little Creek Road, was taken into custody June 2, according to documents released by Justice of the Peace Court 7, Dover.
According to the warrant of probable cause, Farmer had written numerous checks to himself out of church funds beginning in 2011.

When confronted by church officials, the warrant states Farmer admitted he had taken the cash.
