  • Police recover heroin, cash, in Lebanon drug bust

  • Two men, identified as Christopher Roberts, 28, and Gary Stanley, 29, were arrested Tuesday on numerous drug charges following a search of a residence on Mast Circle, near Lebanon.
    Detectives with the Kent County Governor’s Task Force went to the home around midnight to look for Roberts, who was wanted on a warrant out of New Castle County, said Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.
    The owner allowed police into the home, where they found Roberts in a back room along with Stanley. Stanley was taken into custody after first resisting efforts by police to arrest him, while Roberts surrendered without incident.
    Stanley, who was found in possession of more than 300 bags of heroin and $326 in suspected drug money, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession with intent to deliver heroin, second-degree conspiracy, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He later was released from custody after posting a $32,000 secured bond.
    Roberts was found in possession of 23 bags of heroin as well as cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone, a combination knife/brass knuckles and $629 in suspected drug money. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, second-degree conspiracy, three counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 
    He has been jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $64,800 cash bond.
