A 24-year-old Harrington woman is facing multiple charges after a custody issue resulted in a confrontation with police.
Kierra Mohr was at a business in the first block of East Street in Harrington on June 30 trying to pick up a child who had already been picked up by a legal guardian. Police responded to the business after receiving a report of a child custody issue, according to Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
When officers contacted Mohr, she became disorderly, cursing at officers and threatening hard to one of the employees at the business, Brode said.
During the incident, there were four children in Mohr’s vehicle who witnessed the event, Brode said.
Mohr was arrested and taken to the Harrington Police Department where she was charged with disorderly conduct, terroristic threatening and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned and released on a $5,500 unsecured bond.
