  • A Dover man has been arrested, charged with robbing a resident of the Towne Point apartment complex.
Jermaine Scott, 22, of the 1100 block of Madison Court, was taken into custody June 17, the day after the robbery, said Dover Police Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
The victim told police he had been followed into his apartment by a bearded, heavyset black man who pulled a gun and demanded money. The suspect fled after receiving the cash.
Detectives in the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit developed Scott as a suspect based on a nickname and interviews conducted with several people, Hoffman said.
Scott was charged with first-degree robbery, home invasion and terroristic threatening, and jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, after failing to pay a $29,100 secured bond.
