  • A Maryland man was arrested June 18 as a suspect in the May 16 attempted robbery at the Dover Federal Credit Union after someone recognized him from photos posted on the Dover Police Department’s Facebook page.
Lloyd F. Morrison Jr., 47, of New Carrollton, Md., a suburb of Washington, D.C., was taken into custody without incident at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, said Dover Police Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
Police received an anonymous tip Tuesday from a person who recognized Morrison from the social media postings, and identified him as a recent visitor to the casino. Officers located Morrison there and arrested him shortly after 10 a.m. Police also found Morrison’s vehicle, a red Subaru, which also had been spotted in surveillance photos, in the parking lot.
Evidence from attempted robbery was found inside the Subaru, Hoffman said.
Morrison has been charged with a single count of attempted second-degree robbery.
    Bond information was not available.
