  • Dover man jailed on drug, weapons charges

  • A Dover man has been jailed after a search of indicated he was selling heroin from his home, said Dover Police Department spokesman Lt. David Spicer.
    Police served a search warrant at 11:24 a.m. June 11 at the home in the 100 block of Vera Way, Spicer said.
    Police arrested Turhan Blenman, 43, who was found in possession of 2.1 grams of heroin and two loaded firearms.
    Another man, identified as Steven Huey, 34, of Harrington, was arrested on a charge od possession of drug paraphernalia.
    Blenman was charged with two counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
    He was ordered held at the James T. Vaughn Corrections Center after failing to pay a $171,000 secured bond.
    Huey was released after posting an unspecified bail.
