A Dover restaurant employee was robbed by a masked gunman Thursday night.

The incident took place at 9:15 p.m. at the US13 Grill and Catering restaurant, at 1115 S. Governors Avenue, said Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.

The 48-year-old victim said the man came in through the rear door of the restaurant, brandished a handgun and demanded cash. The victim turned over some money and the robber fled through the rear door.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black man between 30 and 35 years of age, standing about 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 185 pounds, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and a mask over his face.
