Two people were stabbed in a May

A 22-year-old woman has been hospitalized with stab wounds to her head following a June 2 altercation at the Woodcrest apartment complex.

Two suspects, identified as Marculus Carter, 28, of Barney Jenkins Road, Felton, and Precious Dorsey, 18, of Newark, were arrested, said Dover Police Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

The victim told police she had been in an argument with Carter and Dorsey when Carter attacked her with a steak knife. Carter also was suffering from a facial laceration, the result of Dorsey attacking him with a steak knife in retaliation for his stabbing the victim, Hoffman said.

The victim was taken to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, where she immediately underwent surgery; she is listed in stable condition.

Carter also was treated at Kent General for his injuries, and released from medical care.

Dorsey, who was wanted by New Castle County Police in connection with a robbery case, was charged with second-degree assault in the Dover incident.

Carter was charged with first-degree assault, criminal mischief and possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony.

Bond information was not available.
