  • Smyrna Police arrest two men on drug charges following traffic stop

  • Smyrna Police arrested a Dover man and a Felton man Friday on drug charges following a traffic stop.
    Smyrna Police conducted a traffic stop on Friday at 6 p.m. on a motor vehicle after observing equipment violations in the area of South DuPont Boulevard and Brenford Road. During the traffic stop, officers were given consent to search the vehicle, at which time officer's allegedly located 20.3 grams of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle, along with a digital scale, and approximately $471 in suspected proceeds from illegal drug sales.
    Anthony Sudler, 23, of Dover, and Jimar Murphy, 19, of Felton, were both arrested for possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sudler was also arrested for traffic violations.
    Sudler and Murphy were both processed and arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 2 via videophone and released on $1,450 and $1,400 unsecured bail pending a future court appearance.
