  • The Caesar Rodney Riders’ golf team improved to 9-0 overall, 8-0 in conference, after a 170-192 win over Milford (0-9) on Thursday.
Jerome Mangubat led the way for the Riders shooting a match-high 37 in the victory. Jack Dixon shot a 43 Thursday, while Devin Sanders and Garrett Dixon both shot a 45 for CR.
Meanwhile, Milford senior Brice Short continued his solid season shooting a 44 for the Bucs. Martin Coverdale shot a 47, while Colton Paquette shot a 49 for the Bucs
The Riders, now 9-0, have started the season perfect, going 8-0 against conference foes. Caesar Rodney took on Salesianum on Monday, and Seaford on Tuesday after press time.
The Riders are back in action on Thursday taking on conference opponent Smyrna at Garrisons Lake Golf Course at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles are on a bit of a hot streak after a rough start, winning seven of their last eight match ups including their latest victory, a 187-200 win over Polytech two weeks ago.
With just six match ups remaining, the Riders will look to finish the season undefeated after dropping just one match up last season. Meanwhile, the Henlopen Conference Championships are just two weeks away and will be held at Sussex Pines Country Club, Wednesday, May 21.
