  • Clerk unhurt in Valero/Shore Stop holdup

  • Delaware State Police are looking for two men who held up a Dover convenience store.

  • Delaware State Police detectives are investigating the robbery of the clerk at a Dover convenience store.
    The incident occurred at 10:35 p.m. April 24, at the Valero/Shore Stop Express store at 1612 S. Dupont Highway, said division spokesman Cpl. John Day.
    Two suspects, a white man and a black man, entered the store together, Day said. The white man displayed a handgun and demanded money from the 31-year-old female cashier while the black man took cigarettes. After receiving money from the cashier, both suspects fled.
    No one was injured during this incident, Day said.
    The white suspect is described as 22-30 years of age, standing approximately 6 feet in height and having a thin build. He was wearing clothing over his face, Day said.
    The black suspect is thought to be between 22 and 28 years of age, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with an average build.
    No further description could be provided; there is no video surveillance available, Day said.
