A woman dressed in a Spider-Man hoodie robbed two clerks at a Royal Farms store early Thursday morning.

State Police detectives are investigating a Thursday morning robbery at a local convenience store.

The holdup took place at 2:20 a.m. April 17, at the Royal Farms location at South State Street and Route 10, said division spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.

The suspect, a black woman dressed in a Spider-Man zip-up hoodie and blue jeans, came into the store, produced a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes. The two clerks on duty handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, and the women fled southbound on South State Street.

The clerks were not injured, Fournier said.
