A local man, wanted in connection with a break-in at an ex-girlfriend's apartment, has surrendered to police.

Dover Police have arrested a local man who allegedly burglarized an ex-girlfriend’s apartment.

The man, identified as Theodore Jackson, 40, was a suspect in the Sunday morning break-in at the home in the 1500 block of North Little Creek Road.

He surrendered to Dover Police on April 9, said police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

Jackson allegedly broke into the home, damaging a door and lock, and then stole a debit card from the woman’s wallet.

The woman arrived home to find Jackson still inside, Hoffman said.

Jackson left, and later is thought to have used the card at a local Wawa to withdraw $200 from the woman’s bank account.

Jackson was charged with second-degree burglary, theft under $1,500, criminal mischief, and unlawful use of a credit card at Justice of the Peace Court 7, Dover, and released on a $1,600 secured bond.
