A 30-year-old Harrington man, identified as Ronald R. Messick, Jr., was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill a man and his family during an altercation.
A 30-year-old Harrington man was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill a man and his family during an altercation.
The Harrington Police Department were contacted by an adult male victim on March 20, who reported to police that he was threatened by 30-year-old Ronald R. Messick, Jr., according to Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Officers determined that the male victim was traveling in the 400 block of Messick Road when the victim observed Messick in the front yard of a residence. Messick allegedly made a gesture toward the male victim, who then confronted Messick. During the resulting altercation, Messick threatened to kill the male victim and his family, Brode said.
Police obtained a warrant of Messick’s arrest, charging him with one count of terroristic threatening.
Messick was taken into custody at his residence later that evening and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.
Messick was arraigned and released on a $500 unsecured bond.
