  • A 19-year-old Harrington man was arrested on trespassing charges on March 20.
Patrol officers on duty responded to the Super 8 Hotel in the 17000 block of South Dupont Highway shortly after 2:30 a.m. March 20 after receiving a report of trespassing, said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Officers located 19-year-old George Curtis upon arrival and took him into custody, Brode said.
Curtis was banned from the property and prohibited from being there, Brode said.
After he was taken back to the Harrington Police Department for processing, a computer check revealed that Curtis was wanted by Kent County Superior Court for failing to appear for a case review for burglary, Brode said.
Curtis was charged with one count of second-degree trespassing. He was arraigned and issued a $250 unsecured bond for the trespassing charge, and a $2,500 secured bond on the Kent County Superior Court warrant. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of the $2,500 secured bond.
