Dover Police are investigating two holdups that took place over the weekend.
The first took place at 5:09 p.m. March 21, in the 100 block of Mitscher Road as the victim was walking home after withdrawing cash from the Dover Federal Credit Union, said police spokesman Lt. Eric Richardson. The victim said he was approached by two men who demanded money; the men the assaulted him and took his cash and cell phone before fleeing in a small white or silver car.
The suspects were described as two black men standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, of average build, wearing black and gray clothing.
The second incident took place nearby, at 7 p.m. March 22, on North Edgehill Avenue, Hoffman said. The victim said he was approached by three men who demanded money, and then took his wallet and items he had just bought at the Rite Aid pharmacy. The men fled in an unknown direction.
The suspects were described only as three black men in their late teens to early 20s, Richardson said.
