  • Robber escapes after gas station holdup

  • Dover Police are looking for a man who held up the U.S. Gas station at Bay and South Little Creek roads Tuesday night.

  • Detectives with the Dover Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit are investigating an evening robbery.
    The incident took place at 8:12 p.m. March 18, at the U.S. Gas station at the corner of Bay and South Little Creek Roads, said police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
    According to the victim, a store clerk, a man entered the business, displayed a firearm and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of currency.
    The suspect is described as a light skinned black man, standing 6 feet in height and weighing approximately 170 pounds.
    Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Dover Police at 736-7111.
