  • A Dover woman, who was facing a number of theft and forgery charges after her arrest last year, has been sentenced to prison.
Roberta Cook, 43, was taken into custody March 25, 2013, along with her husband, William Cook, on charges they conspired to embezzle money from the Dover Rent-All company.
Roberta Cook was the officer manager for the Dover firm.
Both had been charged with three counts of theft, three counts of forgery, five counts of unlawful use of a credit card and a single count of second-degree conspiracy.
Charges against William Cook, 46, were dropped in September.
Roberta Cook entered a plea agreement in November 2013, where she pled guilty to a single count of wire fraud. In return, she was ordered to repay almost $505,000 to Dover Rent-All, although that amount later was reduced to just over $463,000 based on assets Cook already repaid to the company.
Cook also was sentenced to serve 33 months in prison, followed by three years of probation. Her reporting date has yet to be determined.
