  • Cameron, NC — Mildred Doloris Mayo Forshey (Dee) was born in 1943, in Newport News, Virginia to Mildred D. Moore and William Mayo. Living in Virginia, Delaware, and most recently Cameron, North Carolina, she celebrated life to the fullest — in her younger years taking part in stock car racing and most recently as a member of the Patriot Guard. Her greatest love in life was her family . . . especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    After suffering from a long term illness, surrounded by family, Dee went home to be with the Lord in the early hours of March 1, 2014.
    She is preceded in death by her brother William (Bubba) Mayo, her son Daniel Forshey and her grandson Michael Rodan. She is survived by her husband, Gene Corbin Forshey, her sister Sunday Kelly and her husband James, her daughter Lori Sherman and her husband Keith, her daughter Penny Grafton and her husband Mike, her son Michael Kessler and his wife Sandra, her son Gene C. Forshey, her daughter Christina Tyner and her husband Gary, her daughter Kimberly Rodan and her husband Larry, her daughter Carlotta Goodman and her husband Mark, 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
    A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 2:00 p.m., at the Bible Baptist Church at 471 Center Grove Church Rd. in Moncure, NC.
