The commander of the 436th Airlift Wing at Dover AFB has ordered only emergency and MEL-1 personnel to report for work.

The commander at Dover Air Force Base has announced that only specified emergency and MEL-1 personnel are to report for duty at the base.

According to an announcement disseminated through the base Public Affairs office, MEL-2 and MEL-3 personnel are not to report at all, unless otherwise determined by their commanders to perform mission-essential duties.

Emergency and MEL-1 personnel should contact their supervisors for specific instructions.

Prior to this announcement, base personnel had been told to report for work on a three-hour delay.

The base’s focus remains on emergency operations, safety and snow removal, according to the Public Affairs office.

Base personnel should remain alert to changing weather conditions and contact their supervisors or work area for more information.
