  • Cold weather sanctuaries in Dover are preparing for another winter storm.

  • Three local cold weather sanctuaries are preparing to open due to the winter storm conditions expected to hit Dover over the next 24 hours.
    The shelters will open once the temperature dips below 25 degrees.
    Intake housing specialists will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling 211.
    Anyone seeking shelter after those hours should call 211; they will be directed to a shelter with available openings.
    The Mount Carmel Church of the Living God, at 117 N. West St., Dover, will provide shelter for men.
    Women and children may take shelter at The Shepherd Place at 1362 S. Governor’s Ave., and at the Presbyterian Church of Dover at 54 S. State St., Dover.
