Petting Hendrix pours top 40 pop, rap, dance, classic and modern rock into a giant blender and then they press the smoothie button to serve up a tall glass of covers. The band will hydrate listeners tonight in a performance at The Green Stinger Sports Bar and Grill. Some of the songs you might sip on at The Green Stinger include Macklemore & Lewis’ “Thrift Shop,” Flogging Molly’s “Drunken Lullabies,” Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze,” Beastie Boys’ “(You Gotta) Fight for your Right (To Party)” and Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.” Arguably the most unique song Petting Hendrix covers is “Movin’ on Up,” the theme from “The Jeffersons” TV show.
