  • Mrs. Mary Frey-Foss was born August 12, 1932, daughter of the late A. Massey Moor Sr. and Mary G. Deats Moor. On February 8, 2014 she joined the Lord at the age of 81.

  • Mrs. Mary Frey-Foss was born August 12, 1932, daughter of the late A. Massey Moor Sr. and Mary G. Deats Moor. On February 8, 2014 she joined the Lord at the age of 81.
    As a teenager, Mary was involved in many youth activities including Junior Choir at Ewell's St. Paul Methodist Church, Clayton-Kenton 4-H Club, and John Bassett Moore School Band & Choir. Mary was employed for 40 years a Military Personnel Officer at Dover Air Force Base. She also served as Board of Director Dover Federal Credit Union for 43 years. She was a life member of the Air Force Association. She helped organize and served as secretary of Galaxy Chapter from 1972 until 2006. Mary also served as President of the Civilian Management Club.
    Mary is survived by Lt Col (Ret) Gerald Foss, a loving and devoted husband of ten years, a brother Alfred Moor and his wife Bea Moor, and devoted and wonderful nephew, Freddie Moor, and his son Sidney Moor. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Peg Forbes Clark and her husband Ronald; and her cousin Esther Downes. Additionally, Mary is survived by step daughter Lynne Foss and her husband Brian Brown of Bozeman, Montana, and two granddaughters Jaleh and Siri; stepdaughter Kristin Foss and her husband, Paulmer Soderberg, and two grandsons, Ransom and Clark of Palo Alto, California; stepdaughter Lisa Foss and her husband Bengt Goransson of Royal Oak, Maryland.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Walter F. Frey and her parents, A. Massey Moor Sr. and Mary Deats Moor.
    The viewing and service will be at Ewell's St. Paul UMC, 401 West St., Clayton on February 14th. The viewing is from 9 to 11 a.m., with a service starting at 11, followed by the funeral procession to Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
