Dover Police have arrested a suspect in a Feb. 2 break-in and assault.
The man, identified as Jameson L. Hoxter, 24, of the 100 block of Kirkwood Street, was arrested Feb. 4, said Dover Police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
The incident began at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 2, at a home in the 800 block of Woodcrest Drive, Hoffman said.
The victim said she was in her garage when the man forced her into her home and later took a credit card from her purse. The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital.
A man matching the suspect’s description later was seen at several Dover locations; the owners of one of those stores notified police, who arrested Hoxter when his truck was spotted at the Delaware Department of Labor.
Hoxter was charged with first-degree robbery, home invasion, assault, identity theft, unlawful use of a credit card and attempted unlawful use of a credit card.
He is being held in default of a $43,000 secured bond.
