Benjamin A. Crowner (Benny) was born on April 9, 1956 in Wilmington, DE to the late Ernest Rudolph Crowner and Mary Catherine Crowner. He was 57.

He entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Bay Health Kent General Hospital surrounded by his family.

Benny graduated from Smyrna High School. His career path consisted of driving tractor trailers and working in construction. One of his passions was operating heavy equipment. Benny truly loved singing, having fun, making people laugh, and spending time with his family. Another passion he truly enjoyed was riding his Harley along with his brothers, “The Thunder Guards”. Benny had a heart of gold – he would help anyone he could. His smile brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. He was loved by so many.

Benny was a member of Greater Life Christian Church. In earlier years, he was part of the choir. Benny was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Rudolph Crowner and mother, Mary Catherine Crowner, and brothers; Lionel Crowner, Antwon Crowner and sister, Diane Crowner-Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Micheala Robinson; brothers Ronald Sudler (Omar) of Smyrna, DE, Mark Crowner of Harrisburg, PA, Marvin Crowner of Baltimore, MD, Ernest R. Johnson (Mary) of Atlanta, GA; sisters Beverly Dickerson of Dover, DE, Jacqueline Crowner of Mays Landing, NJ, Cora Humphrey of Baltimore, MD, and Connie Slater (Bobby) of Houston, TX; two god-daughters Tiffany Waters and Quandra Drummond; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing two hours prior from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Greater Life Christian Church, 240 Head Start Lane, Dover, DE 19901.
