  • Two men arrested for marijuana, paraphernalia after traffic stop

  • Harrington police arrested two men after finding marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on South Dupont Highway Jan. 18.
    Hurlock, Md. resident William H. Ellis, 29, and Federalsburg, Md. resident Gregory L. Williams, 31, were arrested after patrol officers found them both to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, said police spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode.
    Officers stopped their vehicle for a traffic violation on South Dupont Highway in the area of Cluckey Drive on Jan. 18. While speaking to Ellis and Williams, officers smelled marijuana and conducted a vehicle search. Officers located 11.1 grams of marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia, Brode said.
    Both men were taken into custody and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.
    Ellis and Williams were both issued criminal summons for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ellis also received several traffic citations.
    Both men were released pending a future court appearance in Justice of the Peace Court 6.
