Kent County League of Women Voters is inviting the public to join them in exploring how national agricultural policy impacts Delaware Agriculture on Jan. 15.
The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harvest Years Senior Center, 30 South St., Camden. Guest speakers will include Kasey Taylor, state conservationist for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and Don Clifton, president of Clifton Farms, Inc. and past state executive director for the USDA Farm Services Agency. This will be the first of two public forums to educate and inform league members and the general public about agricultural issues to facilitate citizen participation in the policy process as informed individuals. The forums are a local response to the League’s National Agriculture Study designed to update the League’s policy position on agriculture.
