Harrington police arrested two suspects on Jan. 12 following a burglary complaint at a residence in the unit block of Ward Street, and are currently searching for a third.
Officers responding to the complaint shortly before 10 p.m. were given a description of the suspects and were able to locate 21-year-old Clayton resident Trey Lambert and 21-year-old Frederica resident Jessica R. Marcelle in the area of Howard Dill Avenue, said police spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Officers also identified 19-year-old Harrington resident Darius Sarro as the third suspect involved in the incident, but Sarro fled the scene prior to police arrival, Brode said.
A police investigation revealed that Lambert, Marcelle and Sarro entered the residence on Ward Street, stole items and damaged property, Brode said.
Lambert and Marcelle were transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing. They were each issued a criminal summons for first-degree trespass, third-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief under $1,000. Both were released pending a future court appearance.
Warrants are currently on file for Sarro, charging him with second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass, theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief under $1,000.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Sarro is asked to call the Harrington Police Department at (302) 398-4493 or Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
