The Delaware Division of Health is offering a series of diabetes self-management workshops in both Kent and Sussex counties.
The six-week program, which includes a 2.5-hour session once per week, is free to all Delaware residents.
Trainer Gary Grimanelis said that workshop was developed by Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., and teaches how diabetics can use diet, exercise, proper medical care and other tips to help control the disease.
