Harrington Police have arrested a Frederica man following a December 2013 domestic dispute in Harrington.
Police arrested Benny Rawding, 51, on Jan. 8, said department spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode.
The case began when officers went to a resident in the Diamond Court apartment complex for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Officers determined Rawding had assaulted a woman, took her cell phone to prevent her from calling for assistance, and then fled.
Police were unable to find him at that time, and obtained warrants for his arrest, Brode said.
Rawding was located on Jan. 8 at his home by Delaware State Police, who turned him over to authorities in Harrington, Brode said.
Rawding was charged with charged with terroristic threatening, theft under $1,500, malicious interference with emergency communication, offensive touching and disorderly conduct. He later was released on a $2,300 unsecured bond.
