  • The Special Olympics Delaware Bowling Tournaments will be held on Jan. 11.
    The tournaments will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brunswick Doverama Lanes, 1600 S. Governors Ave., Dover and from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Bowlerama, 3031 New Castle Ave., New Castle.
    More than 600 Special Olympics athletes and unified partners, (peers without intellectual disability), from across the state will showcase their skills. Participants represent Special Olympics Delaware's five area programs from across the state: Wilmington Wizards, Newark Dragons, MOT Tigers, Kent County Wild Kats and Sussex Riptide.
    Events include singles, doubles, Unified doubles, bumper and ramp.
