Troopers with the Delaware State Police are investigating a Dover home invasion and assault.
The incident took place at approximately 7:15 p.m. Dec. 20, at a residence on Michigan Avenue in the Lakeland Mobile Home Park, said police spokesman Sgt. Paul Shavack.
Their investigation has revealed that two masked men, both armed with handguns, went into the home through an unsecured door, Shavack said. Once inside, the men assaulted a 43-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy; they then ransacked the home, took an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled.
Both victims were hospitalized with minor injuries, although he did not have information on their status, Shavack said.
The suspects were described as black man, dressed in black clothing, wearing ski masks, Shavack said. No other description was available, he added.
