Ebenezer Scrooge doesn't live in Whoville, yet that hasn't stopped him from playing the role of the Grinch in the classic holiday play "A Christmas Carol," presented by Lake Forest High School and The Dramatic this weekend.

It's Christmas Eve and Scrooge, a bitter old man, isn't in the holiday spirit. And he hasn't for ages as he loathes the holiday. In fact, if Scrooge had it his way, he'd have his faithful, yet underappreciated, employee Bob Cratchit spend Christmas with him in the office, working him like a slave.

Unhappy with Scrooge's poor attitude, his dead boss, Marley, pays Scrooge a visit. Marley tells Scrooge he must soften his stony heart. But for this to happen, Marley will have three special ghosts visit Scrooge, and each will deliver to him a special message that will help him gain redemption.
