Delaware State Police are looking for a sex offender, identified as Jake W. Gillespie, who has failed to re-register his address.
Detectives with the Delaware State Police Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit are looking for a Dover sex offender after he failed to register his sex offender status.
Investigators have obtained a warrant for Jake W. Gillespie, 25, a Tier II sex offender, after they learned he failed to register as required by law.
Gillespie is described as a white man standing 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with blond/reddish hair and blue eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including "Gillespie" on his abdomen, a spider's web and four-leaf clover on his upper left arm, a cross with his initials on his upper right arm and praying hands on his left arm.
According to the Delaware Sex Offender Central Registry, Gillespie was convicted of second-degree unlawful sexual contact in 2008.
The Delaware State Police Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit is asking anyone who may know Gillespie's location to call 911 or (302) 672-5306. Tips also may be submitted by texting keyword "DSP" plus a message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters also may provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
