  • Harrington man arrested in connection with Walmart thefts

  • A 21-year-old Harrington man, identified as Daniel C. Lilly, was arrested by the Milford Police Department on Dec. 4 in connection with a theft that occurred at the Milford Walmart in July.

  • A 21-year-old Harrington man was arrested by the Milford Police Department on Dec. 4 in connection with a theft that occurred at the Milford Walmart in July.
    The suspect, Daniel C. Lilly, was stopped by Delaware State Police for a traffic violation on Dec. 4 and officers discovered there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Milford Police Department.
    Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young said a police investigation revealed that Lilly and a co-conspirator removed and concealed various merchandise items from the Milford Walmart on July 27. The two suspects the re-entered the store and returned the merchandise for gift cards. Young said the two repeated the process one more time.
    Lilly was charged with second-degree conspiracy and theft by false pretense under $1,500. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $1,500 secured bond.
