  • UPDATE: Stolen bucket truck recovered in Georgetown

  • Harrington Police are reporting a stolen bucket truck has been recovered from a Georgetown salvage yard.

  • Harrington Police are reporting they have recovered a bucket truck which was reported stolen in Harrington sometime between Dec. 1 and Dec. 2.
    The 1991 International vehicle was taken from a property in the 300 block of Walt Messick Road, said police spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
    The vehicle was recovered Dec. 3 from a salvage yard in Georgetown, Brode said. The police investigation indicated the vehicle’s ignition system had been hotwired, he said.
    Police have identified a woman involved in the crime and have obtained warrants for her arrest, Brode said. They also are working to identify a black man who drove the truck, he said.

    ORIGINAL REPORT: The Harrington Police Department is currently investigating the theft of a 1991 International Bucket Truck that was stolen from a property in the 300 block of Walt Messick Road.
    Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode said officers determined that unknown suspects entered the property, broke into the truck and then fled in the truck in an unknown direction.
