Bayhealth nurse Angela Peacemaker, RN, received the Bayhealth Kent General DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
The award was created by the family of Patrick Barnes to honor the nurses who cared for him and for his family during the last weeks of his life. Health systems give the award to recognize the compassion and kindness that nurses offer patients every day.
Peacemaker joined Bayhealth in October 2010 after working at Dr. Stephen Cooper's office for 15 years as a medical assistant. She also served as a medical technician in the USAF for 20 years, stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. She is currently pursuing a BSN at Wilmington University.
