After catching some great Black Friday sales, you can keep the momentum going with a concert from county star Kellie Pickler, who'll perform in the Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Friday night.
As one of the hottest artists on the country scene, Pickler continues to heat up after dropping her new album, "The Woman I Am." The record, released earlier this month, opened at No. 4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums. Pickler's second single off the album, "Little Bit Gypsy," debuted at No. 49 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
"The Woman I Am" reflects Pickler's growth as an artist and person. It features the instrumental talents of many of Tennessee's best musicians and songs from some of Nashville's most talented writers, as well as some Pickler wrote herself and with co-writers including her husband, Kyle Jacobs.
Pickler's last performance in Delaware was in July when she rocked the crowd at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach.
The shimmering star will undoubtedly make lightning strike twice in Dover this weekend.

The beach rock/reggae boys Groove Joose will circle back to The Green Stinger Sports Bar and Grill with another fab performance tonight.
The Joose, which last grooved The Green Stringer in late September, has a number of sweet tunes in its repertoire. This covers Sublime's "Bad Fish," "Santeria," 311's "Love Song," SOJA's "You Don't Know Me," Incubus' "Wish You Were Here," and The Expendables' "Down, Down, Down."
Having been together for only a shade over a year, Groove Joose is the product of musicians that abandoned the metal-driven rock they were accustomed to for a smoother vibe that still energizes crowds.

It's hard to believe the jolly fat man is less than a month away from slipping in and out of our chimneys and stuffing our stockings.
But it's true.
To help make the holiday season feel more real to you, you could check out Dover Symphony Orchestra in a concert that's fittingly titled "Ringing in the Holiday Season" in the Rollins Center at Dover Downs on Sunday.
"Ringing in the Holiday Season" will feature a collection of seasonal music sprinkled with DSO's eloquent flavor.
The event is also being held in conjunction with Delaware Hospice's Festival of Trees, which begins before the concert starts. The Festival of Trees is an annual event, hosted by Delaware Hospice, which ushers in the holiday season statewide. The festival includes a magnificent display of decorated trees and wreaths.
In addition to the Festival of Trees, there will be a large display of artwork for purchase by talented artists and artisans from Kent County.
