  • Convenience store clerk robbed

  • Dover Police are investigating the Nov. 27 robbery of a store clerk at the Sunoco gas station at 837 N. DuPont Highway.

  • Dover Police are investigating an early morning robbery at a local gas station and convenience store.
    The incident took place at approximately 4 a.m. Nov. 27, at the Sunoco station at 837 N. DuPont Highway, said police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman. The station is across from the Delaware Agricultural Museum.
    The clerk told investigating officers a man came into the store, pointed a gun and demanded money. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash; the man then ran from the store and fled northbound in an unknown vehicle.
    The suspect was described as a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over his face, dark blue jeans and black gloves.
    Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 736-7111. Callers may remain anonymous.
