  • Woman knocked down during purse-snatching incident

  • A 69-year-old woman received minor injuries during a robbery at the Dover Mall Wednesday evening.
    The incident took place at 5:36 p.m. Nov. 20, said Dover Police Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman. The woman was in the Boscov's parking lot when she was approached from behind by the unidentified suspect. The man grabbed her purse, knocked her down and fled, Hoffman said.
    The suspect, identified only as a black man, may have driven off in a silver or dark gray 1991 Nissan with tinted windows and Delaware license plates.
    The woman was injured about her head, an arm and legs, Hoffman said.
