Marjorie Scott Cotton, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 60.
Marjorie was born March 6, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Jefferson Scott and Marion Hortense Woodrow.
She had worked as a certified nurses aide doing private home health care; then later for Genesis Healthcare. Marjorie enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time at the Modern Maturity Center, Dover. She loved the company of her family, grandchildren and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her sisters, Bertha Ware, Evora Daniels, Marilyn Armstrong, and Charlotte Daniels.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth L. Cotton Jr. and his wife, Jamilah, and Takeya Aisha Evora Tilghman, and her husband, Eric, both of Dover; and her grandchildren, Shanece Cotton, Jaleel Huggins Cotton, Kaseem Cotton, and Jah-mya Huggins Tilghman, all of Dover.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may gather from 10-11 a.m.
