The Kent County Department of Public Safety is reaching out to the community for food donations to help support the "Pack the Paramedic Truck" food drive, being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, and Thursday, Nov. 14 at Redner's Warehouse Markets, 25 Greentree Dr., Dover.
Kent County Paramedics will be on hand to collect the food donations.
The county is asking for non-perishable foods such as canned goods, instant mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti etc., which will later be given to the Delaware Food Bank, in support of their efforts to help supplement the food families need to celebrate Thanksgiving.
The Delaware Food Bank, a non-profit agency, seeks to provide nutritious foods to Delawareans in need and to facilitate long-term solutions to the problem of hunger and poverty through community education and advocacy.
