  • Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge has announced its revised schedule of upcoming events or activities at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, 11978 Turkle Pond Road, Milton.
    The Discover the Outdoors Day event scheduled for Oct. 19, has been canceled and there is no plans to re-schedule the event this year.
    The refuge will be open to deer hunting during the state's muzzleloader hunting season on Oct. 19. Hunters can also obtain permits for available stands on a first-come, first serve basis immediately following the morning drawing until 2 p.m.
    The birding field trip, which is scheduled for 8 a.m. Oct. 20 will be held as scheduled. Trips are free, open to the public. and last three hours.
    The Friends of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Inc., has extended the deadline for accepting entries for their 10th annual Nature Photography Contest to Nov. 3. This contest showcases some of the best and most talented nature photography on Delmarva.
    The Nature Photography Contest and Exhibition will open to the public for the first time from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Refuge Auditorium. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded.
    The P.R.I.M.E. time program, which was scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 4, will be held as scheduled.
