A Magnolia man was arrested after he was allegedly involved in a crash that seriously injured one of his passengers, according to State Police
At 3 a.m. on Oct. 16 Joshua S. Guessford was driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata west on Lochmeath Way. Guessford failed to maneuver a sharp left curve in the road and struck a tree.
Guessford was later transported by State Police Troopers to troop three, where a DUI investigation began. Guessford was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, vehicular assault in the first degree, no proof of insurance, failure to drive at speeds appropriate for conditions and failure to secure all passengers with seatbelts. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court seven and was released on $2,550 unsecured bond.
Two passengers, a 31-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Dover, were transported to Kent General Hospital. The 31-year-old was admitted with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The 21-year-old passengers refused treatment and was released.
