Glenn W. Taylor, 57, of Anderson, S.C., and husband of Debra Murdock Taylor, died Saturday Oct. 5, 2013 with his family by his side at Duke University Hospital.
Born Aug. 28, 1956 in Dover, he was the son of Margaret Walls Taylor and the late JW Taylor. He was a quality manager for 3D Systems Corporation in Rock Hill, S.C. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and was a passionate music enthusiast who enjoyed all genres.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; daughters, Charlena Taylor and husband, Chris Brechbiel of Anderson, S.C., Alison Whitted and husband, Sims of Greenville, S.C., and Katherine Taylor of Anderson, S.C.; son, Zachary Taylor and wife, Britt of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Isabelle and Avery Brechbiel, Weldon Taylor and Frances Whitted; and his mother, Margaret W. Taylor of Dover, Del. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Banning.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday Oct. 11 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Anderson, S.C. with Rev. Paul Frey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at 5 p.m., Friday at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, Jack Rabbit Road., Hayesville, N.C.
