Officers with the Delaware State Police Kent County Governor's Task Force on Oct. 2 arrested three men after they were found to have drugs in their possession, said police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.
Acting on a tip that Frederica resident Taquion A. Turner, 22, would be delivering a quantity of heroin, detectives and probation officers conducted a surveillance of the JC Liquor Mart, 7615 Bay Road, Little Heaven. Turner is on Level III probation and also had an active capias out of Sussex County for traffic violations, Fournier said.
At approximately 9:20 a.m., officers spotted Turner and another man, later identified as Jermaine Wharton, 23, of Milford, exit a vehicle they had arrived in and enter the store. Both men were contacted by detectives and taken into custody without incident.
Fournier said Turner was in possession of 107 bags of heroin, totaling 2.14 grams, while Wharton was carrying 47 bags of heroin, totaling 0.94 grams.
A third man, identified as Ellik Turner, 20, of Bridgeville, was contacted in the back seat of the car and found to be carrying approximately five grams of marijuana, Fournier said.

Turner was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of a $31,500 secured bond.
Wharton was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, second-degree conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended or revoked. He was jailed at the Vaughn Center after failing to pay a $12,000 secured bond.
Ellik Turner was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on a criminal summons.
