Polytech recovered an on-sides kick on the opening play of the game and marched 40 yards for the night's opening score. The Panthers went on to defeat Smyrna 34-20 Friday night at Polytech.
The Panthers scored again in the second quarter to build a 14-0 advantage.
Near the end of the first half, Smyrna got a first and goal at the three-yard line, but Polytech intercepted a pass to thwart the scoring opportunity.
The second half featured lots of offense by both teams, but the Panthers outscored the Eagles to stay undefeated at 4-0 on the season. The Eagles fell to 1-3.
