  • Dover Police have arrested a Smyrna man, identified as Derek Feamster, 27, on rape charges.

  • Dover Police have arrested a Smyrna man, identified as Derek Feamster, 27, on rape charges. Feamster was taken into custody Sept. 23, said police spokesman Capt. Tim Stump, following an investigation after the 7-year-old victim was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center. The alleged incidents took place in the 900 block of McDowell Drive, Dover. Feamster was charged with six counts of first-degree rape and two counts of second-degree rape. He was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of $80,000 secured bond.
