Polyrech Panthers edged Smyrna Thursday night 1-0 in high school soccer action at the Eagles home turf.
The Smyrna Eagles boys' soccer team turned in a strong defense effort in a 1-0 loss to Polytech on Thursday night. The Eagles gave up a goal in the third minute of the game, back came back to stop the Panthers offense over the next 77 minutes despite being out shot 13-4 for the game. Polytech had 6 Corner Kicks on the night while the Eagle only had two. Junior goalkeeper Jordan Harrington recorded 12 saves against the Panthers. Polytech's goalkeeper Griffin Ott had four saves. Smyrna is now 0-4 on the season and Polytech evened its record at 2-2.
