The Delaware Congressional Delegation will host a free grant fair and workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 21 at the MLK Student Center at Delaware State University, 1200 N. Dupont Highway, Dover.
“This event will give grant seekers an opportunity to ask questions about the grant application process,” said Senator Tom Carper. “It’s our job to ensure that hard-working organizations seeking funding to help their communities, as well as our state, get access to the best information possible so they can compete and hopefully win critical federal grant money. Last year we had a great turnout and I hope for the same again this year from organizations across the First State.”
Confirmed participants include: Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement, Economic Development Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration, United Way of Delaware, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Justice, and more.
Workshops will focus on grant writing, the grant evaluation process, and best practices for earning funding. The fair and workshops are free for participants.
Attendees should R.S.V.P. by calling (302) 691-7333.
